We woke up at 6:15am this morning. That time really does exist in New Zealand- who would have thought?

Isn't he cute?

But it was worth every lost wink of sleep. We visited the famous Abel Tasman National Park and the day will probably be at trip highlight. We had to take “Aquataxis” there (i.e. boats), but I won’t even try to describe this park. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but in this case, I think it might be worth 10,000. Granted, by the end our arms were sore from the hours of kayaking and our skin was red (Jamie takes first prize for the deepest shade) but the day was simply amazing.

We basically explored the park on water, kayaking to little islands and through gorges.  The one thing New Zealand lacks is wildlife, but we did see some seals and birds. The seals were my favorite part. And they didn’t even growl at me this time!
